Refer a Patient — Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Los Angeles

Referring Physicians & Healthcare Providers

OxygenWell is a medical-grade Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) facility with locations in Sherman Oaks and Calabasas, CA. We partner with physicians, surgeons, oncologists, wound care specialists, and other healthcare providers throughout Los Angeles to deliver hospital-standard hyperbaric care for their patients — without the complexity of a hospital referral.

Our team handles all insurance coordination, pre-authorization, and scheduling. You refer. We take care of the rest.

To refer a patient, call (818) 661-0939 or email info@oxygenwell.com.

Why Physicians Refer to OxygenWell

  • 2.4 ATA hard-shell monoplace chambers — full medical-grade pressure, the highest available outside a hospital setting. Not adjusted or limited like most wellness-focused HBOT centers (1.3–1.5 ATA).
  • 100% medical-grade oxygen — delivered via high-flow system, not a standard 10-liter oxygen concentrator.
  • Medicare and PPO insurance accepted — for all FDA-approved on-label conditions. Our billing team manages pre-authorization and insurance coordination before the first visit, at no cost to your practice or your patient.
  • Experienced clinical team — most technicians are EMT-certified Certified Hyperbaric Technicians (CHTs). A Physician Assistant is on-site most weekday hours.
  • 12+ years of hyperbaric medicine experience — 50,000+ supervised HBOT sessions.
  • Open 7 days a week with extended hours — including evenings, rare among HBOT facilities in Los Angeles. Practical for working patients and those with urgent wound care or post-surgical needs.
  • Two convenient locations — Sherman Oaks (inside Sherman Oaks Galleria) and Calabasas (Park Sorrento). Free parking at both.

We accept referrals for all 14 FDA-approved on-label HBOT indications, including:

  • Diabetic Foot Ulcers (Wagner Grade 3+)
  • Chronic Refractory Osteomyelitis

  • Compromised Skin Grafts and Flaps
  • Necrotizing Soft Tissue Infections (Gas Gangrene, Necrotizing Fasciitis)
  • Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss
  • Central Retinal Artery Occlusion (CRAO) — time-sensitive emergency; call immediately at (818) 661-0939
  • Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
  • Crush Injury and Compartment Syndrome
  • Acute Traumatic Ischemia
  • Thermal Burns
  • Air or Gas Embolism
  • Intracranial Abscess
  • Exceptional Blood Loss / Acute Anemia

Surgical Recovery Referrals — Cash Pay

HBOT is one of the most effective tools available for accelerating recovery after cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. We work closely with plastic surgeons and surgical practices throughout Sherman Oaks, Calabasas, Beverly Hills, Woodland Hills, and greater Los Angeles.

HBOT at 2.0–2.4 ATA reduces post-operative edema, limits bruising, promotes wound healing, and reduces infection risk. Most patients notice a visible difference in healing speed within the first 3–5 sessions.

Note: If compromised skin flap or tissue ischemia is present post-operatively, insurance may cover HBOT. Our billing team will assess coverage before the first visit.

Procedures we commonly support:

  • Facelift (Rhytidectomy)
  • Rhinoplasty
  • Blepharoplasty
  • Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL)
  • Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)
  • 360 Liposuction and Body Contouring
  • Breast Augmentation and Reconstruction
  • Mastectomy and Flap Reconstruction
  • Mommy Makeover

Typical post-surgical protocol: 3–20 sessions starting within 24–72 hours of surgery for optimal results.

Oncology and Radiation Injury Referrals

We work with oncologists and radiation oncologists to support patients experiencing radiation-induced tissue damage. HBOT stimulates angiogenesis in hypoxic tissue, reduces fibrosis, and supports wound healing in areas where radiation has compromised the vascular supply.

Radiation injuries we treat (insurance-covered):

  • Osteoradionecrosis (ORN) of the jaw and other bones
  • Soft Tissue Radionecrosis (STNR)
  • Radiation Cystitis
  • Radiation Proctitis

Standard protocol: 2.0–2.4 ATA, 90 minutes, 5 days per week, 20–60+ sessions depending on severity and clinical response.

We also offer adjunctive HBOT support for patients undergoing active cancer treatment, including fatigue management, immune support, and mitochondrial recovery — coordinated with your oncology team.

Wound Care Referrals

OxygenWell is an insurance-approved hyperbaric facility for chronic wound care. We partner with wound care physicians, vascular surgeons, and podiatrists managing patients with non-healing wounds, osteomyelitis, and compromised tissue.

Our billing team manages all Medicare and PPO pre-authorization. Patients can typically begin treatment within days of referral.
